What technical parameters in a Polycoat bitumen emulsion paint data sheet affect application rate and durability?
The most important parameters are solids or residue content, recommended wet and dry film thickness, coverage rate at specified thickness, and curing time to water resistance. Viscosity window influences spray or roller application and sag control on vertical surfaces. Adhesion and elongation indicators, crack bridging claims, and recommended number of coats influence durability. Also critical are temperature and humidity limits, recoat interval, and substrate moisture tolerance. If the sheet lists primer requirement and surface prep, that strongly affects real consumption and long term performance.
