Evaluate the supplier on repeatable performance, not brochure claims. Request recent batch COAs with test methods for binder content, viscosity at stated temperature, sieve residue, storage stability, breaking behavior, residue properties, and elastic recovery if modified. Verify plant capability: controlled dosing of latex or rubber additive, pH control, colloid mill power and gap control, and temperature management without degrading polymer. Ask for compatibility evidence with your substrates and primers. Require traceability, shelf life limits, packaging specs, and documented site support for application trials and failure analysis.
