Commercial production requires bitumen storage and heating, water treatment and heating, emulsifier preparation systems, a high-shear colloid mill, and finished product storage with agitation. Accurate metering pumps, pH control systems, and instrumentation for temperature and flow are critical. Ancillary equipment includes cleaning systems, transfer pumps, and a basic laboratory for quality control testing.
