CRS 2 is a cationic rapid setting grade designed to break quickly after spraying, which makes it suitable for chip seals, surface treatments, and some tack coat situations where fast set and early traffic return are needed. Its chemistry is tuned to bond well to many aggregates, especially in conditions where cationic adhesion is beneficial. The rapid break also means it is less suitable for long mixing operations like slurry systems. CRS 2 demands sprayers with good calibration and filtration because premature breaking can occur if contaminated or mishandled.
