Scale affects residence time, heat balance, and dosing accuracy. At higher throughput, small errors in emulsifier or acid dosing magnify and destabilize batches. Consistent shear in the colloid mill becomes harder to maintain. Storage turnover time increases, raising separation risk. Larger plants require tighter automation, more frequent sampling, and stronger tank agitation to maintain uniform quality across longer production runs.
