Essential QC tools include residue determination apparatus, viscosity measurement equipment, sieve test setup, pH meter, and temperature-controlled baths. Storage stability testing requires graduated cylinders and time-controlled observation or centrifuge methods where applicable. Particle size can be assessed via microscopy or laser diffraction in advanced labs, but many plants rely on correlated process controls plus sieve and viscosity. Additional instruments often include density measurement, demulsibility or mixing tests, and oven or distillation units depending on the standard. A good lab also needs sampling tools, retain sample storage, and calibrated balances and glassware.
