“Restoring” aged emulsions is limited because once an emulsion has partially broken or coagulated, original performance rarely returns. Mechanical methods include gentle agitation, controlled low-shear recirculation, and screening to remove lumps, aiming to rehomogenize without creating more break. Chemical interventions may involve pH correction, adding stabilizer or emulsifier, or controlled dilution but these should be done only by the producer or lab-guided technicians because small errors can accelerate failure. In most industrial specs, out-of-stability product is rejected and handled as rework or waste.
