Typical risks include skin and eye irritation, inhalation exposure to mists during spraying, slip hazards from spills, and exposure to acidic or alkaline components used for pH control. Even water based emulsions can contain additives that require gloves and eye protection. SDS documents also address incompatibilities, such as contact with strong oxidizers, and outline spill containment and disposal procedures. Fire risk is usually lower than cutbacks, but hot surfaces and dried residue can still burn. Operationally, safe handling focuses on PPE, ventilation during spraying, safe heating limits if used, and proper cleaning to avoid clogging and pressure incidents.
