Polymer modified production usually needs polymer handling and controlled dissolution equipment, plus tighter temperature control and higher duty mixing. Typical additions are a PMB preparation unit or inline polymer dosing with high shear premixing, heated and insulated lines, improved filtration and strainers, and pumps selected for higher viscosity. Instrumentation upgrades are common: temperature, density, and flow control with better accuracy. Storage tanks may need stronger agitation or recirculation designed to avoid phase separation without damaging droplets. Commissioning should include acceptance tests for both emulsion stability and residue polymer performance.
